Abstract
This paper presents a novel FTU for the distribution automation system of distribution network with a large number of new energy distributed generations. In the view of circuit principles, this FTU includes four key parts: Analog to Digital Converter Unit (ADCU), Main control Unit (MCU), Wireless Communication Unit (WCU) and Power Supply Unit (PSU). In terms of physical structure, the proposed FTU is boxed into two boxes with an optical fiber communication link for data exchanging each other. In this FTU the functions of DPMU (Distribution Network Synchroniz-ed Phasor Measurement Unit) are equipped. Also the proposed FTU is designed as a set of device assorted with broadband split-core current transformers and Wien bridge circuit voltage sensors. The proposed FTU largely expands functions of traditional FTU, and effectively improves anti-interference ability against to electromagnetic interference. In this paper, the structure and working principle of the above devices are introduces in detail.
